Spaghetti
I see, from your new web page, that spaghetti is ok for you if it isn't laced with a lot of fatty sauces, etc. "By accident" I found out about a very tasty spaghetti sauce that sounds like it would be fine for you.
My mother told me about it and she and I fixed some for dinner one night at her house. She sliced up a small (salad size) zucchini and then cut the round slices in half and put them on the stove and boiled them for about 5 minutes or less. Then we drained them and added them to the heated spaghetti sauce and it was .......
DEEEEEELICIOUS ... even my husband said it was and he dislikes zucchini a whole bunch and usually won't look at spaghetti unless its loaded with "rich meat sauce"!
Anyway ... before I forget ...... the sauce is:
Hunt's Classic Italian Spaghetti Sauce (comes in a can)
It comes in different flavors and the one she used was Garlic & Herbs. There are other flavors, too. I just bought a few cans the other day and the label says there are only 40 calories in a half a cup of sauce and almost zero fat! The sodium is 610 mg. for the half a cup.
With the zucchini in there it adds a whole lot of body and a nice 'crunch' ... if you don't precook it too long.
Another thing one can do is to add a small can of chopped tomatoes for extra body. And maybe some button mushrooms if you like them.
